Student Rent works alongside the University of Waikato and the University of Canterbury. The universities run management functions on Student Rent, and provide advice to students on flatting options and issues. The universities re-direct all student traffic to Student Rent, ensuring a constant flow of students to the website - enabling landlords to gain tenants as quickly as possible, and students to gain flatmates. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved!

Landlords should be aware that students will start to find their flats on Student Rent for the next academic year (starting February 2010) in September. It is therefore suggested that, as a landlord, you list your property as soon as possible, with the upgrade 'Insurance' (which enables you to keep your property on Student Rent for as long as it takes until it is rented - which we don't expect will take that long).
